7. Buying versus mining
Use a cost worksheet to distinguish Bitcoin received from profit.
8. Your next-step plan

A smaller piece is still Bitcoin.
One Bitcoin equals 100,000,000 satoshis, usually shortened to “sats.” Those are two ways to measure the same asset, rather than separate coins you exchange later.
Use a hypothetical price of $100,000 per BTC. A $20 purchase would equal 0.0002 BTC, or 20,000 sats, before fees. If the assumed price later drops to $50,000 per BTC, that quantity would be valued at $10 before selling costs.
The quantity stays the same in this example; its dollar value changes. Owning a fraction does not protect you from price drops.
Try it
At the same hypothetical $100,000/BTC rate, how much BTC and how many sats would $25 buy before fees?
Check your answer
$25 ÷ $100,000 = 0.00025 BTC. Multiply by 100,000,000 to get 25,000 sats.
Is this for you?
This course is for adults who want a clear introduction. You do not need to buy Bitcoin, open a wallet, mine, or become an investor. Exercises use fictional situations and pretend numbers.
There are no price forecasts, trading signals, earnings guarantees, or personalized investment recommendations. Bitcoin can lose value. Keep all real recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, and account details out of the exercises.
Course price, purchase terms, and access details will be shown before checkout opens.
